the Pets
Pets are random objects. Show them some love. D:

their Homes
They will live in the spot below your avatar. Once you get your pet, I will personally deliver it to you.

the Price
The price is simple.
- Creativity: Give me something creative, and if I like it, I'll do it.
- Activity: I only make pets for active members (so as to not waste my time).
You must have both to be considered.

If you don't want your pet anymore, for whatever reason, just send me a pm and I'll remove it for you. No questions asked, no hard feelings.

However, if you abandon pets often, you will go on dunkel's bad list, and he may be more reluctant to give you new pets.

EG's actually more of an RPG thing.. You get earn it through shipping stuff from your farm, or running a business.

I was kind of iffy on choosing EG as the currency... Maybe I should've used Post Counts. ;p

You placed this thing in your sig before, right? I was excited when I saw the thread, but I got dismayed when I realized that the pet costs a power berry.. so practically only the popular users (at least most who have the power berries are popular) and those with power berries can get them...but I realized that they won't be a good idea for me in the first place, because I don't want to have a jumping box in my sig. D:

The reason I gave it a cost was because I won't have time to maintain everyone's pets - if this gets popular (teh big 'if' :o). Also, I didn't want to give pets to random members who may leave after a week or so. I couldn't find anything to restrict hmfPets with, so I settled with Power Berries and EG (post count may cause spamming).

But if anyone impresses me enough (and unfortunately, I must say I've been nothing but disappointed at members for the past couple of months), I may give some as gifts. ;p

(Yes Connor's right. The box opens once you successfully adopt it.)

I remember... 2 Years ago I think it was. I did something similar to this, except I coded a system from scratch where people could purchase and egg, put it in their signature and over time the egg would hatch into a creature which would evolve into other creatures.
It was quiet a complex system that included pets that ages/evolved (dependant on number of times a signature was viewed) and they had multiple evolution paths (dependant on certain situations), it had a form of currancy which was gained from people viewing the signature. It could be used to buy the pet food, toys and other things (you could let people feed/play with the pet if you wanted). If other people owned pets they could make them fight too (if you wanted) and it could all be displayed in a form of a single signature image (which you could choose what infomation was displayed as well as a layout).

I never released it to the public because it used up way to much bandwidth for me at the time. I could probably buy a host now with enough bandwidth to suppose thousands of pets though. But I don't really want to, because there is nothing in it for me.

Username, your system sounds great, but I'd rather keep things simple. This is more of an art project for me, so I've no needs for a complex pet program. Thanks though.
